Dr. McGinnis literally wrote the book on science-based behavioral healthcare for children and families!
Reaching the top five of Amazon’s Best Sellers list for pediatrics in preorder status, Dr. McGinnis’s new book, Introduction to Primary Care Behavioral Pediatrics: A Guide for Behavior Analysts, is available on Amazon.com, Routledge.com, and anywhere books are sold.
It is written primarily for graduate students and healthcare practitioners but with an eye to accessibility for anyone interested in science-based behavioral healthcare. It covers the historical and theoretical foundations of behavioral pediatrics and offers practical guidance as to problem conceptualization, assessment, case formulation, treatment planning, science-based behavioral treatment, caregiver treatment adherence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and ethical practice.

OUR APPROACH
Our brand of behavioral health - primary care behavioral pediatrics - is quite unique. We solve everyday problems in the everyday life of strong families who want to be stronger. And often in much less time than you'd think. While individual counseling may be included, our approach features short-term, collaborative, science-based and solution-focused coaching in sustainable solutions for parents. The approach is positive, supportive, and empowering, often taking no more than 7 or 8 sessions for lasting improvement.

A telehealth option is always available for busy families as well as those in other parts of Florida, and this option works quite well especially for parent-only appointments. The telehealth platform is secure, consistent with HIPAA and HITRUST CSF requirements.
